We are actively recruiting Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for full-time contract positions at state-operated healthcare facilities in eastern North Carolina. Facilities include a psychiatric hospital, skilled nursing facilities, and a developmental center. Your expertise and leadership will help ensure high-quality care to those in need.

These highly sought-after positions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Successful candidates must be able to complete onboarding requirements and begin their assignment in accordance with the terms of their contract.

Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) Job Details:

• 16-week contract (with opportunities for 13-week contract renewals)
• Depending on the facility, the full-time work schedule is either 36 hours (three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend) or 40 hours (five 8-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend)
• Certain facilities require a rotating 36 / 48 schedule (three 12-hour shifts / four 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend)
• Mandatory 4-week onboarding for orientation and training, first shift (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.), Monday through Friday, at the beginning of the contract

Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License and Credentials Requirements:

• Current North Carolina or multistate RN or LPN license
• One year of nursing experience
• Current PPD
• Current CPR Certification, BLS – American Heart Association

Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Primary Job Duties:

• Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment and monitoring of mental health conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate records of patient histories, conditions, and treatments
• Educate patients and families on health management and treatment options
