Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.): Psychiatric Hospital / Skilled Care Facility

We are actively recruiting Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) for full-time contract positions at a state-operated skilled care facility in Black Mountain, North Carolina, and a psychiatric hospital in Morganton, North Carolina. Your expertise and leadership will help ensure high-quality care for those in need.

These highly sought-after positions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Successful candidates must be able to complete onboarding requirements and begin their assignment immediately.

Job Details – Psychiatric Hospital (Morganton)

• 16-week contract (with opportunities for additional 13-week contract renewals)
• Full-time rotating 36 / 48 schedule (three 12-hour shifts / four 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend)
• 12-hour day shift (7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) and 12-hour night shift (7:00 p.m . – 7:30 a.m.) positions are available
• Mandatory 4-week onboarding for orientation and training, first shift (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.), Monday through Friday, at the beginning of the assignment

Job Details – Skilled Care Facility (Black Mountain)

• 16-week contract (with opportunities for additional 13-week contract renewals)
• Full-time schedule, 40 hours (five 8-hour shifts, including every other weekend)
• First shift (6:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.), second shift (2:45 p.m. – 11:15 p.m.), and third shift (10:45 p.m. – 7:15 a.m.) positions are available
• Mandatory 4-week onboarding for orientation and training, first shift (6:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.), Monday through Friday, at the beginning of the contract period

Certified Nursing Assistant License and Credentials Requirements:

• Current North Carolina C.N.A. Certification
• Current PPD
• Current CPR Certification, BLS – American Heart Association

Primary Job Duties:

• Assisting patients with daily activities: bathing, moving, and walking
• Taking and recording vital signs: measuring temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
• Supervising patients at all times: ensuring the safety and well-being of patients
• Assisting patients with basic personal hygiene
