Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN): Corrections

We are actively recruiting Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for full-time, 13- and 26-week contract day shift and night shift positions at state-operated adult correctional facilities in Burkeville, Virginia. Your expertise and leadership will help ensure high-quality care for those in need.

Successful candidates must be able to complete onboarding requirements and begin their assignment in accordance with the terms of their contract.

Pay: $36 per hour

Job Details:

• 13- and 26-week contracts (with opportunities for contract renewals)
• Full-time, 36-hour schedules

Shift Details:

• Three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend
• Day shift positions (8:00a-8:30p)
• Night shift positions (8:00p-8:30a)

License and Credentials Requirements:

• Current Virginia or compact LPN License
• Current CPR Certification, BLS – American Heart Association
• Current PPD

Primary Job Duties:

• Administer medications and treatments
• Provide health education and counseling
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
• Monitor inmate health and maintain patient records
• Treat inmate health conditions and injuries
• Supervise nursing assistants
