Registered Nurse (RN): Corrections

We are actively recruiting Registered Nurses (RN) for full-time, 13- and 26-week contract day shift positions at a state-operated adult correctional facility in Dillwyn, Virginia. Your expertise and leadership will help ensure high-quality care for those in need.

Successful candidates must be able to complete onboarding requirements and begin their assignment in accordance with the terms of their contract.

Pay: $47 per hour

Job Details:

• 13- and 26-week contracts (with opportunities for contract renewals)
• Full-time, 36 hours

Shift Details

• Three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend
• Day shift positions (8:30a-8:30p)

License and Credentials Requirements:

• Current Virginia or compact RN license
• Current CPR Certification, BLS – American Heart Association
• Current PPD

Primary Job Duties:

• Conduct health assessments and sick call for inmates
• Administer medications and treatments
• Provide health education and counseling
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
• Monitor inmate health
• Treat inmate health conditions and injuries
• Supervise nursing assistants
