Behavioral Health Assistants (BHA) – 1st/2nd and 3rd Shift

We are actively recruiting Nursing Assistants for full-time rotating first / second shift positions and full-time third shift positions as Behavioral Health Assistants (BHA) at a state-operated psychiatric hospital in the Anderson, South Carolina area.

These highly sought-after positions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Successful candidates must be able to complete onboarding requirements and begin their assignment in accordance with the specified schedule.

Behavioral Health Assistant (BHA) Job Details:

• Full-time schedule (five 8-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend)
• First shift (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.), second shift (3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.), and third shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.) positions are available
• Mandatory 10-day onboarding for orientation and training, first shift (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), Monday through Friday, at the beginning of the assignment

Behavioral Health Assistant (BHA) License and Credentials Requirements:

• C.N.A. Certification (preferred)
• At least six months of healthcare or related experience
• Current CPR Certification, BLS – American Heart Association
• Current TB Screen

Behavioral Health Assistant (BHA) Primary Job Duties:

• Assisting in the implementation of patient care plans
• Providing direct support to patients in activities of daily living
• Monitoring, collecting, and recording data on patient behaviors
• Assisting with therapy sessions
