Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA): Behavioral Health

We have multiple openings for behavioral health CNA jobs in Morganton, NC, at a state-operated psychiatric hospital, near Marion and the Hickory-Lenoir metropolitan area. Your training and expertise as a Certified Nursing Assistant will help ensure high-quality care for those in need.
These highly sought-after positions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Successful candidates must complete onboarding requirements and begin their assignment immediately.
Job Details
- 16-week contract (with opportunities for additional 13-week contract renewals)
- Full-time rotating 36/48 schedule
Shift Details
- Three 12-hour shifts/four 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend
- Day shift positions (7a–7:30p)
- Night shift positions (7p–7:30a)
- Mandatory 4-week onboarding for orientation and training, first shift (7:00a– 3:30p), weekdays, at the beginning of the assignment
License and Credentials Requirements
- Current North Carolina C.N.A. certification
- Current PPD
- Current CPR Certification, BLS – American Heart Association
- At least one year of nursing experience
Primary Job Duties
- Assisting patients with daily activities (bathing, moving, walking)
- Taking and recording patient vital signs
- Supervising patients at all times
- Assisting patients with basic personal hygiene
