Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA): Corrections

We have multiple openings for correctional CNA jobs in Columbia, SC, at state-operated adult correctional facilities. Your training and experience will help ensure high-quality care for those in need.

Successful candidates must be able to complete onboarding requirements and begin their assignment according to the specified schedule.

Mandatory 3-week onboarding for orientation and training, first shift (8a–5p), Monday through Friday, at the beginning of the assignment

Job Details

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Full-time schedule, 36 hours

  • Three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend
  • Day shift (6a–7p) positions are available

Full-time schedule, 40 hours

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend
  • Day shift (8a–6p) positions are available

License and Credentials Requirements

  • Current South Carolina CNA License
  • Current CPR Certification, BLS
  • Current PPD

Primary Job Duties

  • Administering and documenting medications and usage
  • Maintaining medication carts, inventories, and records
  • Assisting with medication passes
  • Taking and recording vital signs
  • Assisting with medical intake screenings
  • Observing patients for signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes
