Registered Nurse (RN): County Health Department

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time contract position at a public health department clinic in Vicksburg, MS. Your expertise and leadership will help ensure high-quality care for those in need.

This schedule is Monday through Friday. There are no weekend shifts and no required overtime.

Successful candidates must be able to complete onboarding requirements and begin their assignment as soon as credentialing is completed.

Job Details

• 13-week contract with opportunity to renew
• Full-time schedule, 40 hours
• Five 8-hour shifts per week
• Monday through Friday, no weekends
• Shift hours are 8a–5p (with a 1-hour lunch from 12p–1p)
• No required overtime

Primary Job Duties

• Perform lab draws and pregnancy testing
• Administer immunizations and vaccinations
• Provide information about birth control and family planning
• Provide assistance to mothers and infants
• Complete and maintain medical records

License and Credentials Requirements

• Current Mississippi or multistate RN license
• At least one year of nursing experience
• Current PPD
• Current CPR
