Registered Nurse (RN): Corrections

Job Details

Pay: $47 per hour / $56.40 for Burkeville facility

• 13- and 26-week contracts (with opportunities for contract renewals)
• Full-time schedule, 36 hours
• Three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend
• Shift times vary by facility
• Night shift positions (7p-7:30a/8p-8:30a)
• Day shift positions (8a–8:30p)

License and Credentials Requirements

• Virginia or compact RN license
• CPR Certification, BLS – American Heart Association
• Current PPD

Primary Job Duties

• Conduct health assessments and sick call for inmates
• Administer medications and treatments
• Provide health education and counseling
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
• Monitor inmate health
• Treat inmate health conditions and injuries
• Supervise nursing assistants
