Registered Nurse (RN): Corrections

Whether you are a recent RN graduate looking to jumpstart your nursing career or have on-the-job nursing experience, we have opportunities for you to join our growing corrections nursing teams. Additionally, these correctional RN jobs have a premium hourly pay rate that is significantly higher than the average rate for RNs in the Jasper County area.

Successful candidates must complete onboarding requirements and begin their assignment according to the specified schedule.

• There is mandatory 3-week onboarding for orientation and training, first shift (8a–5p), weekdays, at the beginning of the assignment.

Job Details

Pay: $50.00 per hour

• Full-time schedule, 36 hours
• Three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend
• Night shift positions (6p–7a) are available

License and Credential Requirements

• Current South Carolina or compact RN license
• Current CPR Certification, BLS
• Current PPD

Primary Job Duties

• Conduct health assessments and sick call for inmates
• Monitor and treat inmates’ health
• Administer medications and treatments
• Provide health education and counseling
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
• Supervise nursing assistants
